Five international consortiums are interested in taking part in a public tender for a construction of first polish nuclear plant., has announced Jacek CICHOSZ CEO of PGE EJ1 group, polish operator of the project.  The candisates are: EDF/Areva, GE Hitachi, Westinghouse, KEPCO and SNC-Lanvin Nuclear. A public tender for a nuclear plant of 3 000 MW will be announced at the end of the year .

Project confirms a Polish will to diversify their energy sources. Today 87% of polis energy is produced using oil and coal.
